Feature Request: Oops

How about a "Recycle Bin" for recorded shows. For some reason I just deleted several "L & O - Criminal Intent", only to realize I hadn't watched them. Sage did nothing wrong, I just had a brain problem.

So, a method to bring them back from the dead (brain dead, that is) ?

Good idea. That's happened to me a few times too.

It's the curse of the PVR. Why can't you accidentally delete a show you DON'T want to watch, like Full House? ;-)

LOL, neilbradley . I actually use handyrecovery as recomended by Opus4 to fix 'human error'. That happens alot to me but usually its not me but someone watching on the client who deletes things they shouldn't have .

Oh yeah -- actually, SHS posted the link. That undelete utility is listed in this index.

Well, I was kinda hoping to do the recovery from within Sage, that way the un-deleted show would show up in Sage Recordings as if it hadn't been deleted in the first place. Would this be possible ?

If you shut down SageTV (or the service) before undeleting, the show might be listed again when you restart, depending on whether the show's info is still in the database. (When a database cleanup gets performed after an EPG update, some unneeded show data can get removed.)

I was thinking more along the lines of something like an "undo" function. Maybe in the detailed setup page. Ok, I delete a recorded show and realize this was not what I wanted to do. Move over to the detailed setup page and undo the delete, and the show is back. Now, if the user doesn't recover the show in say, 12 hours (user set), it gets deleted. And, the function can be turned on or off by the user, those who don't need it, toggle it off ... Basically, when the show is initally deleted, the title is just moved from the recorded shows menu to the "undo" menu where it sits until it's either recovered or actually deleted.

Possible ?
