2nd tuner not listed in Sage...

I have a WinTV 350 card as my primary, and a 150 as the 2nd tuner. The 2nd tuner disappeared for some reason - it is no longer visible in Sage.

It is fine in the device manager - my 2 cards are listed.

When I go to configure the 2nd card, only my primary card is available. This was working in the past, but I had trouble with my remote, so I loaded a ghost image from the past (back when I only had 1 tuner), and then did the normal Hauppage software install after re-installing the 2nd card.

Any tips on why the card is not showing up within Sage? Any tricks or hints that might get me going?

I remember this happened about a month ago when I first installed the 2nd card, and I got it to appear by just going in and out of Sage a couple of times, and then it showed up - but that is not working this time.

Thanks for any help!

Steve

Check to see if the missing tuner is listed in the properties file on the mmc/ignore_encoders line. If so, try removing it (close SageTV or the service first) & then restart.

Yes, that was it - you rule. How come my 2nd tuner ends up being "ignored" in the properties file?

Thanks much!

I don't really know -- I guess it ran into some problem accessing the tuner & decided it shouldn't do so in the future. So, the tuner sort of gets marked as Don't Like & that's the end of that.
