3.0.7 Suddenly not showing scheduled recordings

I came home this morning and looked at my Sage setup which has run great for a long time, even back to 2.x. I looked at the scheduled recordings of which I had many for the rest of the week as well as anything IR had flagged as something I might be interested in. For some reason on the scheduled recordings everthing scheduled to record last night (9/20) was still showing up even though the time/date on both Sage and the cpu were correct (9/21).
I checked and all of those recordings were fully recorded and on the correct channels, etc.

Hmmm, some glitch I thought and even though it had only been a couple days since the last reboot I closed Sage and rebooted the machine.

Now, NOTHING shows up in scheduled recordings along with the Sage message about nothing being scheduled. Ok, I go to the live TV guide and check the rest of the week and all of the shows I scheduled to record are still marked as set to record in the guide.
So around 11:45 this morning I set up items to record at noon and nothing fired off to start recording.

I tried shutting down Sage and removing the Wiz.bin and Wiz.bak files so it would create new ones and that had no effect.

There are 2 events recently that may have something to do with it. First, Saturday we had a power outage and when my APC strarted to give the "shut me down soon" beeps I tried to shut the system down, but the act of turning on the monitor shut the whole system down. While significant I seriously doubt this first one had anything to do with it since afte the power was restored I rebooted the machine and Sage and it has worked fine since early Sunday.

The second one is probably what triggered this. My cable provider had a MAJOR lineup change on the 20th. I lost one channel that had a couple things scheduled to record last night and those did record on the 20th, although since the channel wasn't in the new lineup Sage recorded whatever channel that tuner was already on.

Now what? I saved off the copy of Sagex.txt which was the one in use when I noticed the problem. It was HUGE in comparison to the others with many errors "Received command of: NOOP from socket [addr=/127.0.0.1,port=1048,localport=42024" and also the same thing with port=1050 with those two alternating lines many times in each section of the file.

So now I have a Sage that won't record anything scheduled. Any ideas? File a bug report?

Maybe there is some sort of hardware problem & the tuner stopped working? Does it show that a tuner is configured? The System Info screen lists a lot more stuff in v3, so see what it and/or the Source Details screen says about each tuner.

You could try getting rid of your properties files & their autobackups, then try reconfiguring when you restart SageTV.

Everything seems ok in the system information and all my tuners (2 PVR-500's) appear and I can go into source setup and go to the color calibration screen and they all work. They all show as configured with the right epg lineup, etc.

It only appears to be in showing what's scheduled to record and firing off those recordings. The recordings I have set show as being set in the EPG with all the proper options (pre/post padding, etc) they just won't display in the scheduled items, nor will they apparently fire off when the time comes.

I'll backup everything and try removing the properties file (and auto backups) to see if something got corrupted in the properties file. I'll post again after I've tried that.

I decided to try one more thing before making Sage create a default properites file. I went into Sage, verified that no scheduled recordings were showing up in the list and then removed my 4 sources (2 PVR-500's) from Sage. I then quit Sage and restarted it.
After putting all my sources back in all the recordings then showed up with some slight abnormalities. The abnormalities were that at least some of them seemed to be in Sage twice. They only showed up once in the scheduled recordings list, but my conflicts list was littered with conflicts which all were the manual recordings I had previously scheduled.
So I went through the EPG and turned off all my manual recordings. The conflicts then went away with the exception of the 3 manual recordings I had previously set before the lineup change on the channel that after the lineup change I no longer have. They would show up on the conflicts page, with no options other than close for possible resolutions. I got rid of those by going to the EPG and trying to shedule something for that same time period. Even though I have 4 tuners the first thing I would try to record in that time period would pop up the conflict resolution box. I clicked on the option to schedule the new recording instead of the one for the channel I no longer had. Then I just deleted the recording I'd used to get rid of the "ghost" one.

So now everything seems to be back to normal. I'm showing all my manual recordings as well as my favorites, and the IR ones that Sage is picking.

I'm pretty sure this all went "kaboom" when the final schedule change made it into Sage last night. The zip code was obviously the same, but the lineup name changed as well as the vast majority of the channels were shuffled around. Out of over 70 channels more than half moved around to different channel #'s, and that's on the analog system, the digital system was even worse! But I don't have digital, at least not until they come up with a realistic way to use it without needing a dozen STB's littering my house!

Just an FYI, before I removed and reinstalled all my sources I tried setting the lineups to a different zip code and then back. The zip I chose was different than mine, but in a different town with a different named lineup even though it was the same provider/channels/channel positions. (Comcast Windsor instead of Comcast Avon) That made no difference.

Bug it, or just figure it was a weird one-time anomaly?

I would mention it to SageTV if I were you, since if the lineup changes that drastically, you would hope there could be a way to deal with it more automatically.

Sent a bug report into Sage via the link here in the Beta forum.

Also, just wanted to update that everything set to record tonight has fired off just fine and the recordings work fine.

All Scheduled Recordings Lost

I had this happen as well twice now.
After rebooting, all scheduled recordings are lost, even though when looking at the program guide the files show up outlined as if they are scheduled to record. They do not record though.
There has been no signifigent event to explain this behavior.
I had to uninstall and reinstall in order to get everything back.
Then after a reboot, they were all gone again.
The only thing different then the week before was that there were a signifigant number of recordings scheduled, somewhere along the lines of 50.
Can someone at sage please looking at this. Twice in two days is starting to give a bad experience to an otherwise very good release.

This post refers to a beta version of Sage TV. Can we assume that you have you upgraded to version 4?
