Reload after every channel change?

Reload after every channel change?

AMD 64 CPU, 2gb mem, etc...
PVR150 and a cheap video card - everything works GREAT using the VMR9 render and the Intervideo NonCSS codec until I try to change channels. The screen then goes to snow - reload the video player - change channels and bam! - back to perfect. Needless to say, this is a little tiresome -any ideas?
