Saving the favorites list

Hi all,

Is there a possiblity to save a list of favorites? I had to do a clean install this weekend and spent quite some time putting all favorites back in.
Perhaps there i a list in the form of a file already, but i didn't know yet.

Cheers,
Henk99

Your favorites and viewing history are contained in the wiz.bin file. All you have to do is keep a backup copy of the file. After reinstalling Sage just replace the new wiz.bin with your old backup copy.

When i copied back the old wiz.bin i re-introduced the problem that originally brought me to do a clean install
Luckily i could copy back the original and that problem was gone again. Eventually i had to re-add my favourites anyway.

Cheers,

Sage automatically makes backups of the wiz.bin from time to time. If your wiz.bin became corrupted then you might have been able to use the backup if it wasn't corrupted as well. Sage's way of backing things up isn't ideal IMO. Your best bet is to setup your own backup of the wiz.bin.

I have my system setup to keep backup copies of my wiz.bin to another drive in case something happens I won't lose all my favorites and viewing history.

You're right,

I am going to make a good copy of the whole sagtv dir, but will also get a weekly copy of the wiz.bin in progress. This will eventually save a lot of time i guess.
