automating dvd burn process?

Hello.
I record ALOT of stuff with my sagetv and dual PVR500 card.
I have the process semi-automated...

a perl script runs nightly and looks at newly created .mpg..
and checks my master database (more later on that) and deletes
any duplicates..ie..if sagetv recorded the same episode that I
already have burned....

next a perl script runs daily and finds all the new .mpg files..
and runs videoredo to scan all for commericals.

I check them every few days to make sure they are correct--make minor
changes..then run a batch job to convert all the projects into .mpv and .mpa
files.

this is where the automated part breaks down.

For my regular series (the simpsons..etc) I group them into folders of about 4GB each (I can automate this!)

then I take the folder that had all the .mpv and .mpa files and
run another perl script that adds these filenames to a .txt file--
my master database...and assigns the next available volume #.
(so I have a complete record of what titles are on what volumes)

then I use dvdlab...and a standard menu that has the series name and a volume number....I compile and burn the dvd.

so--what I need is a way to automate the dvdlab part...
ie...How to automaticly create a VIDEO_TS layout
from several .mpv .mpa files with a standard menu.

I've tried several products (ifoedit, vobedit, mplex) and they give me
issues with the missing NAV PACKS....

Does anyone have any suggestions or can share their process???

Thank you.
