|
Help with screens artifacts showing from previous screens
My sage 3.0.13 all of a sudden went goofy on me. I have seen this before but forgot how I fixed it. My main screen is showing an all black background with the menu items but when I select an item the old screen is showing behind the new menu screen making and it continues to happen every time a select a new item. Can anyone tell me how to fix this... thanks...

That usually means that you've turned on the hidden extras and you already have a ui/background_image property which is blank. You can either remove that line from your properties file, or go to Detailed Setup -> Customize, scroll all the way down past the "Unsupported Extras" line to find the option to "Set Background Image".
If you haven't turned on those extras, then I'm not certain why your background image would be missing. - Andy

Okay... it did it again...
Every time I delete it keeps getting put back in .... I also cannot find those options under the customize area....

You have to edit the properties file while SageTV is closed. Also, if you are using service mode, you have to edit sageclient.properties instead.
Are you using the default STV, or what? Using the default SageTV3.STV, if you are not seeing those options in the Detailed Setup -> Customize area, you should not be having an issue with the background in the standard STV unless background.jpg is missing. By any chance, did you install to a new directory, but are still using your old properties file that still points to the old dir? - Andy

Actually I was using a copy of the v3 stv in order to use the nielm imports. I switched it back to the original stv and it worked again.. thanks for your patience with me...

Now Ive lost my icons
For some reason my icons have disappeared now...
My first run, watched, manual recording, weather, etc icons have disappeared... any ideas?

Is your current STV located in the same place where those icons are? Check the wizard/widget_db_file line near the end of your properties file to see the STV's exact location.
