Studio Information Resources
Studio is now available to all SageTV users!
SageTV Studio is the application used to develop and customize the SageTV user interface. As of version 4.0, this application is now publicly available to all registered SageTV users. There is no additional application to install in order to use studio -- it is included in each SageTV and SageTV Client installation. After registering SageTV, Studio may be started by using the Customize command (default: Ctrl+Shift+f12), which will cause Studio to open in a new window with the currently-loaded STV ready for editing. The Studio documentation has been updated for v5 as well. Page 7 of the new PDF lists a couple changes that have been made. Oh -- and a new tip about local vs. server based file access was added at the very end of the manual.
The tutorial STV was updated to show that execution continues more correctly after an OptionsMenu is closed. Note that the tutorial STV now has the XML file extension. - Andy |

I've added a section at the end of the first post to link to additional topics with tips, info, etc. that Studio users could find useful. Only a few threads are listed there to start with, so if anyone has created a thread that would be a useful reference for others, please send me a PM so that I can consider adding it to the list. The links in the first post have been updated for the v6.3 Studio manual (changes listed in chapter 1), for the tutorial STV, and for the default STV that ships with v6.3.
The Studio manual has been updated to include a tutorial section for the new core animation system. The tutorial STV contains the new example code. - Andy
