Lestor - thanks and a question
Lestor -
Thanks for the digicase plugin - it has made SageTV possible for myself and doubtlessly many other Canadians. Now that SageTV supports Canadian listings natively: 1) is there any advantage to continue using your plugin? 2) is there any likelihood of conflict when I switch to integrated listings? I installed v4 last night over my 2.2 setup (with digicasa...), and the integrated listings work, but are not completely accurate. Shaw cable did a lineup shuffle on Nov 2, and SageTV hasn't caught up yet (both your plugin and integrated listings are similarly wrong). Zap2it's site now has the correct info, and I understand that is where Sage and digicasa both get their EPG data. Any ideas why the delay? Is this an error in the Zap2it feed?

Thanks for the praise guys! In answer to the questions:
1) There is no particular advantage to using the plugin now that Sage has native Canadian support. The two features that I believe the Sage native support doesn't handle are detecting reruns based on Original Air Date (aggressive rerun logic) and multipart show logic. However these are minor features. 2) There shouldn't be any conflict when switching from the plugin to native Sage support. The data feed is identical and thus the switch should be seamless. 3) Zap2It's website and their data feed are not exactly the same. There are sometimes differences in the data that they present. Lineup changes may take a little while to percolate through the the data feed that both Sage and DigiCasa use but it will happen shortly. If it doesn't then contact Sage support and they can bug Zap2It about the change. Regards Lester

Do you know offhand whether the Sage supplied listings will require us to log into Zap2It on a regular basis as your plug in did?

The built-in EPG listings do not require any sort of Zap2It account on your part.

Thanks! I hadn't even gotten around to posting this somewhere where I figured you'd find it!
The reason I asked is that I was getting several channels with NO DATA for a couple of days. Last time this happened, I left it, figuring it would sort itself out, until I found the digicasa plugin required an active Zap2IT account. I wondered if this was related. Then I came across another thread today saying others had issues like this in the last couple of days, which they resolved by removing the tuners in Setup, setting them up again, and 'starting fresh'. No reboots, etc required (nice, since I am on the road and there are limits to what I can do from here Worked like a charm - all listings are up now...
