DVD menus not working

I upgraded to SageTV V4, and everything is working great. I have one problem I can not seem to solve. I have searched the forums also and it seems like no one else has had the problem.

My problem is that the DVD menus just don't work, or perhaps I should say I can not navigate them. They show up fine, but I can't select things and move the target around. I can target with my mouse, but even then the menu does not change to show what I am point at like it did before. Does this make any sense? Does anyone know what is causing this?

Are you using the Nvidia Post Processor for your DVD decoder? If so, try switching to non-post processor Nvidia. That worked for me.

I also have a similar problem, but only since going to 4.0.

The left and right arrow commands dont work.

I filed a support call.

I tried Nvidia to no avail. AWS I dont think this is the same problem.

I had this problem, but install the Cyberlink codecs and using those for DVD only fixed it. I eventually switched to overlay and switched back to Nvidia codecs, so overlay might work fine too.

I ve sent it to SageTV who said they are looking at it.

In the meantime I mapped my right and left remote control buttons to the RIGHT and LEFT Sage commands rather than the RIGHT/Volume Up and Left/Volume Down.

Now the DVD menus work but had to use other remote buttons for volume up and down.

Lucas is right -- it's definitely a bug where the combined right/volume and left/volume commands don't work.
