My Sammy DLP bulb was rated for about 3000 hours. 2 years and almost 5000 hours and still going strong. (I also use it as my main computer monitor thus the many hours on it). OTOH, I just had to have the color wheel replaced since the bearings went bad and the screeching could be heard 2 rooms away.
EDIT: I just checked the service menu and my bulb is actually above 8500 hours and still burning strong. Wow! Last edited by sleonard; 11-14-2005 at 01:25 PM.
