Padding & Back-to-Back Favorites

I had padding set up on most of my favorites (2 minutes in and out) and noticed that if two favorites were back-to-back but on different channels, Sage would NOT record them (they did not appear in the upcoming recordings list.)

If I removed the padding from the programs, they showed up in the upcoming recordings.

I thought that if I had the option in Setup set to remove padding on back-to-back favorites, this would not happen.

Any insights?

Thanks,
Rob

The option is for back to back favs on the same channel.

Thanks, Andy! Sure would be a nice future enhancement if it could handle back-to-back favorites on different channels...

Sounds like a good excuse for more tuners! Just call me Wayne "5 tuners aren't enough" Dunham.

What I notice is that when Sage records back to back on the same channel, there's about 30-60 seconds of material lost inbetween. That's rather annoying if the program doesn't end at the right time.

That's really strange. I have back-to-back stuff record all the time, and the most I lose is about a second.

I don't lose much on my back to back's either, if they're on the same channel. I suppose I might lose maybe 1 second or so.

Now if my C band sat has to change sat's then I'll lose maybe 30 seconds to a minute switching around, but that's it.

I bet it's more likely a problem with the source than it is Sage in this case causing such a large loss of programming.

I've had that 30-60 missing as well. But find it only happens when watching a show live that is followed by another show I'm recording as well. If the 2nd show is still recording it seems to jump to the next show about 30-60 secs prematurely. If I go back to the show I was watching (skipping all the way to the end because it's marked watched) I can see that portion I missed. Rather annoying, but minor problem.
