Problems updating xmltv epg in 1.4.8

Anyone else experiencing non-updating of the epg in 1.4.8 - it hasn't updated over night, although it says it has, and i can not get the data to update no matter what i try (including removing and then adding a source). Any ideas anyone,

Matt

UPDATE: if i totally remove a source, restart the machine and then re-add the source it works. But i have to restart the machine - just removing and re-adding the source does not recognise the new epg data.

It looks like it may be my new EPGdata. I tried after restarting, as detailed above, and got to the "downloading services" page, but it hung there. I have since gone back and created a new EPG file, using my old xmltv config file, and this updated fine

So, it may well have not updated becasue the epgfile i was using was no good..

I will mess about a bit and see what i can come up with,

Cheers

Matt

msm, this is exactly the problems I was having.

I had not tried new epgdata.xml since upgrading to 1.4.8, until I ran out of data two days ago, and then found out xmltv grabber was broken. I tried to reconfigure xmltv to get it working, deleted my .xmltv folder, etc, but it was still broken until I grabbed the updated xmltv.exe last night. But then I suffered the problems you describe. So, I don't know if it was 1.4.8 or the xmltv.exe upgrade, or my starting over with a new config. I'm using corykim's plugin.

I had to remove the source, restart sageTV, and go through the setup wizard again - then it worked.

Yeah. Like i said, i tried a new channel config (--config generated file) using xmltv 1.1.5, and had problems with the resultant epgdata not working in 1.4.8. When i changed back to my old channel config, still using xmltv 1.1.5 and the same plugin (not sure of the plugin file) the epgdata worked great in 1.4.8.

Still not sure whether it will update correctly this time, so will have to wait a while to try this. Didn't have to do any re-installing of any software, just ran a different channel config file

I'm sure there is something obvious here, might just have to wait a while before it hits us between the eyes

Also, i doubt the data could be wrong for both of us, i'm UK based at it seems you hail from Canada...very strange
