XML file creation in Video Libraries question

I was just wondering if anybody knew how the xml file creation worked. I have been using Cayar's 17 with 2.2.8 until last week. I tried 18 but had some issues, but while using it I noticed it created xml files. Now I am using V4 with Greggerm's STV. One of his test STV's is using xml creation and when going through my video library I noticed some of them have created an XML and some have not. I was wondering if anybody knew how to get Sage to create xml's for the rest of them. Or does it just take days for it to do it?

I tried refreshing media...

It seems that it is only creating xml files for archived recordings. But the info is in Sage somehow for others because they are in Past recordings. How can I take an episode and move it from Past recordings to Archive recordings? Or how can I create XML file for Past recordings?
