using different stv's on clients vs server?

I just wanted to clarify something. Is it OK to use a different stv on a sagetv client than say, the default 4.0 stv thats running on the server? I think I can do this, but I wanted to make sure there would be any collateral damage from doing this. Since I will eventually have at least 3 sagetv clients running, I would like to be trying out different stvs and addins/plugins on each one. Just so I can gain experience with many of them and either choose a standard one for all clients, or maybe use different ones.

For maintenance it probably would be easiest on me, and less time consuming if I could just choose the *one* stv for all clients...but only time and tweaking will tell.

Client and server are totally independent as far as STVs go, neither care's what the other is running.

cool. I can go nuts now, and do whatever I want on each client. everyday that goes by I love this stuff more and more. Its awesome!!!
