Repeat Rate with USB-UIRT
Hi,
I’m having difficulty with my USB-UIRT & remote combination. When scrolling thru Sage menus, the scrolling action will become “doubly” fast. Sage will jump thru menus often bypassing a menu where I want to be. Also, for another example, when using skip fwd, which I’ve set to 5 sec., one quick press of my remote results in 2 quick 5 sec skips. When Sage is started from a reboot, all is fine. This issue seems to appear after a few suspend/resume cycles. (using suspend to ram S3) I’ve thought about fine tuning the “infrared_receive_repeat_delay” & “infrared_receive_repeat_period” in the properties file but decided that these settings are probably ok since it does work fine initially. I’m also using Girder but only as a means to bring the HTPC out of suspend. The remote I’m using is a One For All URC 6131nw and I'm using ReplayTV codes. Anyone experience anything like this? Any ideas? Thanks, Bryan J

I'm using a UIRT with a Harmony 880. The 880 is set up with 0 for repeats and delay. I tweaked my SageClient.properties as follows:
infrared_receive_repeat_delay=350 infrared_receive_repeat_period=200 This is the best I've found for speed and to prevent automatic picture opening when you navigate to the Pictures section. Only minus is when tweaking the capture card color/contrast, etc. You have to do individual presses. P Opus: How exactly do those settings apply in Sage...especially the repeat period...I'm fuzzy on that one. Thanks, P |
