Using Studio with the trial version?
He's my issue...
I currently have 1 server and 1 client license. My main server box is a 2.1(2.2?) sage. I want to work on my 4.0 setup before I take down the 2.1 (The wife would kill me if I screwed something up!) I was using the trial period to tweak things the way I want on a different computer but I now want to use studio to tweak things further.. but I just discovered that I need to be registered to use studio! Help! I don't want to change my 2.1 setup until I have the 4.0 working.. I'm actually going to switch the server machine to the one I'm developing on and then make my curent 2.1 server a 4.0 client. But I not ready to do that yet... What can I do??? Any thoughts?? |

Since your only planning on having 1 server long term, and just need to do some development work and stability testing, I'd build up that new server with 4.0 and register it using your existing serial. Only use the new server for testing purposes. Then once you are satisfied with V4, then just move over your wiz.bin and recordings and blow out the old server.
This may not be considered legit per the EULA, but this is probably what I would do in your situation. |

I'm not worried about *bending* EULA.. I'm worried about my registering 2 servers will cause my first machine to stop working correctly! The wife will kill me if she can't watch her shows!!!

Since I have spare routers laying around the house, for me its not a big deal to pop the new server onto a different subnet to eliminate the servers seeing each other. Hopefully that should be enough, since I haven't tried it, I dunno.

I do not have that luxury.. Plus.. I don't even know if that will work.. How does Sage check for dual licenses?
