Sage 4, only 1 Hauppage..

hello friends,

I installed sage 4, and i love it.
just one issue with it, on sage 2.2.8 i had no problems to have both my hauppauge cards (I have pvr150 and 1 500 =3 video inputs from set-top-box).
the problem is that on sage 4 it only see's the 150 and not the 500.
i tried to uninstall the 500 drivers and re-install ...nothing..
on the device manager i see all 3 inputs (2 cards), and no problem at all.
however on the sage when i want to add new source it only see's the 150.
can anyone please help me, thank in advance.

Check to see if the 500 is listed on the mmc/ignore_encoders line in sage.properties. If so, shut down SageTV, or the service, remove that line, and restart.

I don't know... it thought there was a problem using the card, I suppose. As I mentioned somewhere a while back, SageTV is looking at a fix for cards getting added to that ignore list incorrectly, so it is a known issue.

The mystery was finally solved. We found a bug regarding how the ignore_encoders was adding devices which is fixed for 4.1.

Looking forward to that 4.1 release, perhaps it will fix my problem where upon reboot I lose my 2nd tuner, a WinTV USB2 - which I have to stop the service, unplug the tuner, unplug the USB cable, and then restart the service.

Yea, hopefully it's get released soon and fix the EPG bug on C band as well. Support hasn't been able to come up with a fix so far, but at least they know it's broken if you add too many channels.

Not to complain, but the released V 4 seems more like a beta than a release, i.e. it won't release FSE when sleeping, it locks up sometimes when changing channels, the EPG on C band can only handle so many channels before the guide stops updating, it add's tuners to lists it shouldn't. I hope those bugs are fixed and sagetv once again becomes a great program.
