red border line on PVR-350 picture

Well, considering English isn't my native language I'm going to try to expose my problem in a comprehensive way :

I've got a Hauppauge PVR-350 card. Although from the beginning the picture quality was ok there have always been a multi-colored slim line at the bottom of the picture and a little more thick red one at the right side, both of them close to the Windows frame, whatever the software used (winTV, sageTV ...).

With sageTV display capabilities (size of screen set to 105 % and these damned lines disappear) it'snt really an issue, but I would like to encode some of my .mpg recorded files to DVD video format and thus a simple DVD player will show them on the TV screen.

My questions are :

1.Is this "trouble" normal (for those among you who own the same kind of cards i.e. PVR-150/250/350) ?

2. Is there an easy way to remove these lines, if possible directly by setting the PVR-350 parameters (registry keys and so on) ?

3. If not, what tool to use to fix this in the .mpg file ?
