Calling Girder experts!

So here's the deal. . . I'm using a Gyration MCE Remote (not the new OEM one) and I want to make the record and play buttons control the on demand functions of my STB. However I only want this to be the case when the box is tuned to on demand channels. . .

Is there any way to have Girder as sage what channel it is tuned to and then execute a certain command if it on one of the on demand channels?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
chris

What other functions are you using these buttons for?

They control play/pause, ff, rw, and record. . . They aren't programmable so far as the Gyration software is concerned. . .

I actually decided that this was the long way around and may not even be possible so I went out and dropped $30 on a remote that ought to everything I want

It's possible, but it would not be easy. Probably requiring the status plugin, and a bunch of Lua scripting
