find out when PC was last used?
Hi People,
This is WAY off topic!! I just thought that one of you guru's may know the answer. The question is in the title: I need to find out exactly when an XP PC was last used. Is there a windows log or something that contains boot times etc? Any help would be grand Cheers |

You can always go to Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Event Viewer. Check the various logs and you can get an idea when it was last started and some of the things going on then.

If you just want to know when it was last booted, open a command prompt and type:
net statistics workstation It will also tell you some networking statistics that you may or may not find interesting. I'm not sure how you could track when the system was last actively used (ie: not rebooted, but used to run an application or something). |

If this is a one time deal, then the above info will take care of you. However, if you are interested in this info often, this program that I run on my servers gives you some cool, customizable info right on the desktop. http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/BgInfo.html
