MCE ir blaster-remote...a little help...

Hi,
I have really been searching for an app like this, but having a hard time to get it fully operational in my system, my main issue is getting the ir blaster to work with with my direct tv box, the control seams to work with the sage app, but not the blaster so that i can change channels schedule recordings etc. I have tried going thrugh the set up several times but it always fails, tells me to try unpluging it and try again, i do but nothing. I had this same ir and remote with mce and worked fine, but now i went back to using xp pro, and i want to use sage tv and sage client. I tried looking for an answer in the forums, but its a bit overwhelming in here, so i figured i tried this, again i dont have a problem buying this app, but i need it to work in my system the way its intended first

app = sage tv 4.0
ir-remote = MCE 2005 microsoft ir blaster and remote
TV = Direct Tv(fort Myers)
Tunner = DTV D11
