Corrupt HD Audio Stream
I'm using firewire to get HD off my motorola 6200 from Comcast. Comcast, being craptastic as it is, has issues right now with the MPEG audio of HD feeds popping a lot. They claim its not an issue with the box but with the "signals being too high" and it will take a month to diagnose the problem.
In the meantime, the cable box's output pops a lot and the PC handles the audio better but it appears to cause stuttering in Sage. I'm pretty sure its not a hardware performance issue since I can run the video fine in WMP with "TIMESTAMPS NULL" option selected in the NVIDIA decoder debug page. If I leave that on Sage crashes. I assume the stuttering is caused by the video being sync'd to the audio in Sage, is there a way I can disable a/v syncing?
