copying a customized STV from a server to a client
Hi, I just built my a 4.13 STV, imported all the stvi's and customized all my screens... on my server. Now... Gotta do it all again for each client?
Gotta be a way to copy parts of or all of the sagetv folder to a client machine so you do not have to redo all of the customization... I am thinking, install the client, copy some of or all of the server files to the client, make sure the "needed" client files (the files that differentiate from a server to a client) are still there. Anyone know how to actually do this? |

If all you changed was the STV, then you just need to copy that file to the client.
If the imports/customizations included other files (graphics, code, etc), then you will need to copy those too -- the imports w/extra files probably instruct you to unzip in the SageTV dir & then import the STVi. If so, just do the unzipping part, then copy your STV from the server. I wouldn't copy the properties files, if you've changed those. - Andy
