Unable to play video on MVP after freeze

My MVP froze and then when it eventually came back to life I couldn't play any video ("playback exception" I think). I had to reboot the MVP before I could play video again. No other diagnostics I'm afraid. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar?
