4.1 IR Reprogram Losing Digits?

I just upgraded to 4.1.3.67 and I'm setting up a new source, so I've been trying to teach my USB-UIRT how to send the numbers for changing channels on the new receiver.

My problem is, because my initial "teaching the codes" to the USB-UIRT didn't work (most of the codes aren't being recognized by the receiver), I went back to Source Setup to try again. After several unsuccessful tries, now when I try to reprogram the codes, the SageTV user interface dialog for "Reprogram Infrared Code" is missing the buttons for programming "0" (zero) and "6" (six). The list of buttons in the reprogram dialog now starts at "1" (one), and skips "6" (six)!

What's more, the "0" and "6" buttons are also missing in the "Test Infrared Code" dialog as well.

Is there a configuration file that somehow got corrupted? What's going on here?

Ah, see, you made off easier than I did in that upgrade. I wound up just completely deleting my cable source, adding it from scratch, and then configuring the remote commands. It even forgot the "digits per channel," "Delay between codes," and "delay between channel changes." I had to fight with it for like 15 minutes to get it all perfectly restored, and that was after I copied my backup of the Wiz.Bin and Sage.Properties, etc... It was hell. I just barely finished as it is before my next recording was scheduled to begin. *sigh*

I don't know if they're aware of the problem, but it sure hit me as well.

Re: 4.1 IR Reprogram Losing Digits?

Well, I looked inside the IR file, and it appears that for some reason, the entries for the digits which weren't working are truncated, that is, rather than having a value for 1 having 18 groups like this:

1 0000 006C 0022 0002 0157 00AB 0016 0040 0016 0015 0015 0016 0016 0016 0015 0016 0016 0016

the entry only has 8 groups like this:

1 0000 006C 0022 0002 0157 00AB 0016 0040

and the entries for "0" and "6" were missing.

So, with Sage not running, I edited the IR file in Notepad, and made entries for "0" and "6" using copy and paste. This brought back the "0" and "6" buttons in the "Reprogram Infrared Code" and "Test Infrared Code" dialogs when I ran Sage.

I'm now in the process of reprogramming the codes that aren't working, but at least now I have the buttons back to do it with!

So after several tries, I have all the codes working now.
