one STB and one out of the wall cable connection?
can I configure sage to use one set-top box and one out of the wall cable connection at the same time? In other words I would have two guide listings, one for plain cable and one for hd cable.

You can use multiple lineups for multiple sources, but what do you mean by HD cable? If you mean recording in HD from cable, SageTV can't do that (except for perhaps the firewire customization in the Hardware forum). If you mean the output from the STB into an analog capture device (perhaps via svideo cable), then you can do that.

thanks for the reply. What I want to do is record from both my out of the wall basic cable connection and also from the HD STB which outputs on a coax or S-video cable. I can't do this in MCE because the basic cable has a different channel lineup from HD cable and Mce only runs on one lineup. The problem with recording from the STB is that it's only a single tuner so I'm wasting the advantage of having an HTPC w/ dual tuners.
