SageTV HardwareDVR

Whatever happened to the SageTV hardware DVR running embedded linux? I applied for the early testers program and I got a response but I wasn’t about to pay out $1,000 for the hardware, etc... just to deal with something in its alpha stages, and past that I have heard nothing. I see a photo of it on the front page but there are no links to its development status or anything else. I haven't heard anything of the thing in several months now. Anyone have more information?

There's at least one person on the forums who has one, and they even got it to work as a client to a Sage server (can't remember who though).

OH, and the product isn't a Sage corp product, it's made by someone else, so you won't see it for sale on the site here I wouldn't think...

Well then. I guess it was my mistake to assume it was when its photographed on home page. I was just curious about the product and what it's developed into since the early testers program I mentioned.

Interesting. Is it the same code base used in the media ready 6000? That one is being demoed at CES supposedly WITH cablecard support built in. Does that mean Sage managed to get a license from cablelabs for cablecard under linux?

Thanks,
mike
