CHOPPY video???

I have 1gb of ram and an AMD X2 3800+ processor. I am running dual monitors, and when I try to view the TV it works for a good 10 seconds and then becomes choppy... and it lags the rest of my computer from doing anything!

Anyone know how I can fix it?

Using the hauppauge wintv pvr-usb2 w/ remote control and the custom "control with no active win" irremote.ini file...

Are the video recording directories on drives that were formatted using a 64K cluster size?

If you are running an antivirus program, make sure it isn't automatically scanning the video dirs.

Or, it could be something else...

What video card are you using? Which decoder? VMR9 or Overlay? Are you using FSE?

Don't know what FSE is but I am using the BFG 6600GT vid card with DVI on both monitors... I tried both VMR9 and Overlay, on both monitors, and still problem.
