MOV files supported (imported video)
My Lumix digital camera produces MOV motion video+audio files. These MOV files do not playback using the standard Windows Media player, Nero, etc. The audio plays, but the video is black.
These MOV files do playback correctly with Apple's QuickTime for Windows. These MOV files also do playback correctly with a set of software called "QuickTime Alternative" (Google for it). If I uninstall Apple Quicktime for Windows, install QuickTime Alternative, on a PC not running SageTV, the MOV files will display correctly if I take my web browser to that file (FireFox and IE), with MOV file types associated to QuickTime alternative. The question, then, is how to handle, where to put these MOV files in SageTV for viewing, much as I would view my JPEG photo collections? |

Don't think sage supports quicktime movies... You could always use winavi to convert them to mpeg2 or avi first.

winavi converts MOV files.
If Sage supports AVI, and since my MOV files do play with Quicktime, I was hoping that Sage would support MOV. Or - since "Quicktime Alternative" works as a plugin for IE and Firefox, maybe Sage would work with it too. |
