What's being recorded?

I was just wondering. How do you know what's currently being recorded?
When I'm watching LIVE TV (which is being recorded too), how do I know that sage is currently recording that show?

On my Dishnetwork box there use to be a red light. Sage has the red RECORD icon at the top right but it is always on. I assume because the live tv is being recorded always. I'm wondering that if I turn on the tv and change channels that I will srew up a recording if it's currently being recorded.

All Live TV playback is currently being recorded. Any shows outlined in yellow on a menu are being recorded (SageTV Recordings, Program Guide, Recording Schedule, etc); the System Info screen displays what each tuner is recording; if the playback timebar shows a clear area for anything past the current time, that's a good indication the show is currently being recorded.

I believe SageTV will confirm a channel change that leaves a scheduled recording to view live TV, except when the scheduled recording is due to Intelligent Recording instead of a Manual Recording or Favorite.
