Changing Channels on a Comcast Cable Box

What is the best, easiest, most reliable, and least expensive method for changing channels on a Comcast cable box. I have a General Instruments set top box and a PVR-350.

Thanks - Mark.

If your box has a serial connection you may be able to use that. Otherwise don't cheap out, just get a USB Uirt and have some room for expansion.

I bought a myBlaster at first trying to save some cash. Ended up with a USB Uirt a while ago and it's been perfect since. I now use it to control 3 Digital cable boxes and a vcr too.

If you have a Moto 6200 or 6412 (look on the bottom) you can use firewire for channel changing (and/or recording). I'm not currently using it to record, just channel change. It's been flawless for a few months now and is fairly easy to set up and is not plaqued by the problems recording has had.

I did a writeup with directions somewhere in another thread before...
