Any Roll-Out's yet??

Anybody have this working yet? I've been waiting anxiously for this release, It should combine all the benfits of MythTV and Tivo with all the ease and eyecandy of the Sage interface. You guys might just have the giant killer on your hands. Congrats to everyone on the design team! Anybody out there have this up and running??

I hope too soon.... This is what I've been waiting for in terms of price to start selling SagePVRs... What is the lowest processor that can be used for the Linux PVR?

Either that or what is the CPU load on whatever system people have used it on?

Thanks....
Lauren

That's an option that would work fairly well (and most importantly, inexpensive)..... I mean, run the controlling system with the onboard video on the motherboard and not have to worry about TV-Video output issues with Linux by using the MVP....

How about for software video decoding?

Thanks,
Lauren

Love this product.

I have MLBDude's SageMC_169 kinda working too. I have asked him if he would mind a derivative of it for linux.

The only thing that bothers me is the limited hardware support out of the box. It would seem any large scale OEM of this would have to have a heavy duty contract with Hauppauge and Nvidia for chip supply. Too bad Hauppague has entered a deal to bundle RePlay TV software with their new cards......BTW, on that 450 that Jeff has running, is that a server or a frontend? It would seem that a server would need much less power than the rendering needed on a box running the frontend.

He told me it was set to Mode 0 (server mode).

It would seem better to have it set to mode 0 for a cost factor.... hook up a Media Center Extender and get full hardware decoding (plus a remote) with little system overhead.

My system is a 2.4GHz with a GeForce MX 4000 board (which doesn't seem too fast), but it runs the video fine using kmplayer.....
