Blue Screen Hardware Error??

Several times now I have bee watching Live TV and my system would flip to a blue screen stating that there was a hardware malfunction and to contact my hardware vendor?? This is not the typical Windows blue screen of death and it's a system that I built so there is no hardware vendor like Dell or HP to go to ... Not sure if it is my motherboard, but curious if anyone is familiar with it ...
