sagetv key confusion

hi guys, i purchased sagetv server and mvp client over the holidays and was only sent one software key. i have not had a chance to use the key because the video card in my server died before i received the key and now i'm not going to be able to mess with it for about a month due to some prior engagements.

does anyone know if the key i was sent will work in both the server and the mvp client?

From my experience they should be two seperate keys. You need to register the MVP licenses independantly from the server itself...unless they have speciall licences that combine both.

Is it possible you were sent an email with the server license after you made your purchase? What I mean is, is the key you received the one that arrived with the MVP? If you purchased sage thru the website, then they probably emailed you that license.
