TV-OUT/Change resolution

Hi:

1. How are TV-OUT and changing display resolutions dealt with/configured in
Sage for Linux? Is there some kind of graphical X applet? Are we expected to
configure everything by hand in the X config file?

2. Is there any kind of hardware compatibility list, or are you just referring
people to the docs for Gentoo? If the latter, which version, exactly?

3. Is any technical support available for the Linux version for OEMs or end-users?

4. Will the Linux version be getting its own User Manual or is it identical
enough that it won't require one? (Do any icons, symbols etc. look diff. in the
Linux version that might confuse my customers?)

Thanks

Shplad

For the basics: the system requirements are listed on the Linux OEM Edition info or installation pages, and tech support is mentioned in this FAQ.

I'm not entirely certain if there will be a completely separate manual. Except for a few configuration option differences, the UI is the same as on the Windows version... and that is what most of the current PDF manual covers. It uses the same STV and icons.

So far there is no graphical interface for that, it needs manual changes to the xorg.conf file.

Mode 2 is tested with nvidia graphic cards. It is possible to use other experimental rendering systems but this isn't configured by default.

Paid support is available by contacting SageTV at oem@sagetv.com.

The user interface is identical to the windows version.

Let us know if you need more information on any of those points.
