Remote Control Support

A: The only remote currently supported is the PVR150, the same interface is used for input plugins as on the windows version so someone could easily add other input devices. We can provide more information if needed.
I have the Linux OEM version loaded and I am conducting testing. My Hauppauge remote control does not work. I have the PVR150 card and remote control. What do I have to do to enable my remote? Using the wireless keyboard will just not cut it!

Do you have more than one PVR card? You might need to change the default IR device number on the following line in Sage.properties:

linux/ir_input_pvr150=0

I only have one tuner card. I looked at the Sage.properties file in /opt/sagetv/usr/ and linux/ir_input_pvr150 is set to 0.

Try setting it to 0 while the SageTV process is not running then restart it.

All remote controls from the PVR150/250/350 will work with the Linux version. Only the PVR150 has an IR blaster; which we also support.

Thanks..that did the trick. It took me quite awhile to find a text editor though. I know Suse and Debian quite well but not Gentoo--so different. The editor is nano btw (not vi or vim!!)

3 other problems came up in my testing. First, the skip forward and skip forward2 do not work(remote or mouse) Second, the skip backward and skip backward2 both go to the start of the program not back 10 and 150 seconds. T

Third, the play DVD on the media center menu does not work. I load a DVD and choose play DVD and it gives the error message "no DVD loaded in the drive".

This is very important functionality. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I'm using a PVR250 and I can't get the remote to work. I've tried changing the value in the Sage.properties file as previously mentioned in this post, but that didn't help.

I'm much too excited by the Linux version, so I'm really hoping there's an easy fix for this.
