Q: Can't start Sage, but can start KDE
I have a Radeon 9500 card with dual display (AGP card).
I got the install working (finally)..... The packages had to be installed manually, as "emerge" would not work until I rebooted after the initial setup. Now I got the ATI driver installed by typing in "emerge ati-drivers" When I run "startx," it stops and tells me that the RADEON has no "Display" section for PCI:1:0:1 So, I ran X -configure to get the information into ~/xorg.conf.new and ran "X -config ~/xorg.conf.new" and it runs Sage, but when it's about to start the UI, it crashes back to the BASH prompt. Even if I copy the info from PCI:1:0:0 (which is the primary display) and change the "PCI:1:0:0" to "PCI:1:0:1", it still crashes..... If I change ~/.xinitrc to have "exec startkde" then KDE starts and is fully functional. Why can't I get SageTV to run? Has anyone gotten Sage to work under KDE? Thanks, Lauren |

The current opengl sagetv handler doesn't work with ATI cards.
