timelines (?) in some files are wrong...

First, I'm not sure if 'timelines' is the correct terminology.

I have recorded several shows that won't play properly. The timeline shows them as being much shorter than they actually are - ie: the timeline says they are an hour long, but the marker jumps forward at 3-10-30 second intervals and Sage only plays the first few minutes before the end of the timeline is reached by the marker and Sage thinks the show is done. Interestingly, if I pause in mid-show and skip back 'ten seconds', the video picks up at the correct place (if I have paused at exactly halfway through the hour then skipped back, the show would play from 29:50, but still at the 'wrong speed').

If I play them in MS media player, they play normally, however, MP thinks they are only (for example) 12 minutes long. The timeline again goes too fast, but MP continues to play them until the end of the show.

I tried running them through videoredo. That really screws things up. The end result is an hour long show that starts in the middle, plays to the end, then plays the first half. Essentially it seems to fix the problem but introduces a new one - the file is put together in the wrong order...

Looking for suggestions.

I have this exact same problem. While I haven't tried playing them in windows media player yet (next course of action), I have tried different STV's (including the original) and have had no luck.

I've recorded an hour long show and the timeline would seem to indicate 1 hour; but, when watching the show, a second on the timeline takes about half a second of real time. Hence the timeline expires when I am halfway through watching the show.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm using SageTV v4.1.3 with one server, a PC client and an MVP. The problem occurs regardless of which computer/MVP that I watch it on.
