Will this weaken my Cable signal
If I were to connect a 7800GT w/vivo or a pvr500 to my digital STB via s-video with the intensions of recording live tv (I know I would only be able to watch the channel that I'm recording) would this weaken my digital cable signal in anyway.

PS cable is already split between my STB and cable modem.

If you're not splitting the actual cable anymore and you're just connecting the S-video out from the cable box to the S-video in on the PVR-500, then the cable signal won't be affected at all.
