XBOX Linux...
I'd really like a client release of somesort so I can try to pop it in an xbox... any thoughts?

I have the same intentions--it would be nice to have a client only version for Linux.

Has anyone tried this recently? Given that there is now a Linux placeshifter this should be feasible now? I don't have an xbox of my own, but I have setup enough of them to know the xbox makes a great SD client and DVD player.

I do believe placeshifter and client are totally separate animals.
The advent of a linux client would certainly move my current project of embedded CF windows to something MUCH easier.

From my understanding, GentooX supports Java and Mplayer which are the major requirements for Placeshifter.Correct? |
