Why is sage crashing?
Sage crashes periodically--and only in the middle of watching shows. I've tried changing rendering and codec, etc, but it doesn't seem to help.
It DOES seem to happen more often when I'm fast forwarding or rewinding, but not always. Either way, is there some sort of log file I can look at after I sage crashes so I can try and narrow down the problem? I'm running Sage 4, using the NVIDIA codec. thanks! rwc |

There is a property to enable logging: "debug_logging=TRUE", exactly as shown w/o the quotes.
There also may be a java log in the SageTV directory after a crash. Since it is during playback, I would double check that the video card driers & DirectX are up to date, try overlay instead of VMR9, and disable 3D Acceleration in Detailed Setup -> Advanced. - Andy
