2nd WinTV-PVR 150 No Sound
I have 1 WinTV-PVR 150 PCI card which is working just fine. This tuner has no ir blaster nor remote input.
I bought a 2nd WinTV-PVR 150 PCI card and I can see picture, but no sound. This 2nd WinTV card is a bit different in that it has the ir blaster / remote setup although I am not using the remote nor the ir blaster on it. Thinking that it was a hardware problem, I got a hold of another WinTV-PVR 150 tuner card (with ir blaster/etc) and it too has no Sound. So I am thinking that maybe I am having some weird hardware/driver problem. I ran the WinTV hwclear program, rebooted and installed the latest WinTV 150 drivers from WinTV web site - same results. I have no conflicts on WindowsXP - both WinTV tuners show up as 26xx tuners working fine. Anybody having this weird picture with no sound problem? Last edited by joe123; 02-07-2006 at 10:49 AM.

I found the problem and posting in case it helps someone else.
The WinTV drivers from WinTV web site for the WinTV-PVR 150 are missing something. This is why my second WinTV card had no sound. I reinstalled the drivers from the cdrom (not from WinTV web site) and the sound now came back on my second tuner.
