Sage not sending commands to IR Blaster
I'm running a trial on Sage 4. I've got (almost) everything working, including receiving commands from the remote (45-button Hauppauge PVR-150 w/supplied ir blaster, all the most current drivers I've been able to find). The problem is that even though Sage is 'seeing' the incoming commands from the remote, it is not sending commands back out to the ir blaster. For example, when I channel up/down Sage responds but no-flashee-lights on the ir blaster transmitter bud on the front of my DirecTV box --- so the box doesn't actually change channels. All remote functions work just fine when I run the Hauppauge-supplied WinTV2000 application, though, including channel tuning. What am I missing?

Did you teach your DirectTV remote to the Hauppague IR blaster?

I am having the same issue - using blastcfg on for the IR blaster, i am able to turn the channels on the STB and power on/off manually. but when running via SageTV (through MediaMVP extender), no response. I have set up sagetv to control the composite on the tuner to use the IR Blaster from Hauppauge. Any ideas?

I am having the exact same issue, but only when using Sage in service mode (it works fine when not using service mode). I've posted a few times on this forum about the issue, but nobody has posted any useful information for fixing the issue yet.

can anyone else here confirm if the blaster doesn't work on the 150's in service mode? I just orderred a 150 and was intending to use service mode but might look elsewhere if this is a known problem...
thanks JUC

I tried quickly last night, but also was unable to use it when not using service mode -- ie, using the standard interface. I know these cards are tricky, esp when other cards are in the PC (I have 250 and aver 1500). But disabled the 250, and previously moved around the PCI positions and reinstalled. Others seem to have had it working under 2.28 but not under 4.13+. Sage, could you confirm if this is a known bug in the 4.1 series, or should we keep testing possible fixes? Thanks

I'm having the same issue, can't get the IR Blaster to talk to my STB. I'm new to SageTV, just installed it yesterday, this is not a good start...

im having the EXACT same problem and i too am new to sage tv. the blaster works with the supplied Hauppauge software and wizard. and sage tv responds to my hauppauge 45 button remote. but nothing is sent to the IR blaster. if you go to the setup menu, then go the the source setup menu, this is where your suppose to be able to configure your blaster. but it doesnt let me teach it any new commands and it doesnt offer me any options under what STB im using. can this PLEASE be fixed. without a blaster, sage tv is useless to me.

This was happening to me at first, but I was able to fix it by restarting the IR blaster. There should be a command on the start menu in the Hauppage folder.
