One Hour, Twenty Six Minutes, 44 Seconds

I am wondering if anyone else has observed this behavior???

I have been recording the prime time HD Olympic broadcasts using my Fusion USB tuner and Sage 4.1.6. After giving the broadcast some head start time for commercials we have started watching while the recording is still continuing. After 1:26:44 has elapsed the FF/RW functions cease working properly and the time line stops advancing. If you just keep watching, it continues and the mouse will select a point past 1:26:44. If you look at the file after the recording has ended all is well with normal behavior of the FF/RW functions. This has happened to every recording we have made of these long broadcasts.

Last night I also recorded the SD NBC broadcast and it behaves normally throughout. I even converted 1:26:44 to frames and looked at the SD broadcast around the same number of frames and saw no strangeness there.

Has anyone else seen this kind of wierdness for long HD broadcasts???

Yeah, it has been mentioned for a while in the beta that you are using. Here's the latest on a possible fix you could try & then report your results.

Thanks Andy, Guess I didn't look in the right place at the right time! I'll give it a try tonight.

I continue to have the same behavior after installing these updated files. This only happens while the file is being updated during the ongoing recording. Once the program ends and the file is complete then the FF/RW functions are just fine. The updated myasyncflt.ax shows a version of: 2.2.1.0 I do notice that the time indicator now does show some jumps to later times but it reverts to 1:26:44 immediately. I don't think it was doing this with the older version of myasyncflt.ax.

Send and email to support@sagetv.com about the continued problem.

This is sure not working for me. It fails in the same way on the client as well. If you pause the playback then it will FF but on resume playback it jumps back to 1:26:44 again.

My wife has been amazingly patient so far!

Reported to support this afternoon.

I did, and posted in the 4.1.7 thread that it wasn't fixed. Curiously, there was a 1:53:XX bug that was reported to be fixed.

EDIT: Bug report submitted as well.

Yes I did as I indicated in my email to support. The behavior has changed slightly but it certainly has not been fixed. FF will now move the time while playback is paused but it returns to 1:26:44 when you resume playback. It also seems to be sensitive to how far past 1:26:44 you are when you resume playback, sorry I don't have all of the quirks fully explored but we were trying to watch without too much degradation in WAF!
