XML not working

HI

I'm attempting to trial SageTV again after many months away. I'm tyring to use XMLTV from the UK.

I've installed XMLTV-v5.016 Win32 zip to C:\XMLTV
I've extracted the Xerces.jar file to the java\lib\ext folder, and SageTV folder.

I have XMLTV downloading the listings correctly. Following the 'HOWTO' guide, the Win32 zip only contains the basic tv_grab_uk files and NOT the sorting files etc. So I can only download the listings, not sort them etc. which might be the problem.

I run up SageTV, tell Sage to use the XMLplugin in the setup and it says it's trying to read the epgdata.xml file but never returns from this.

I checked with the XMLTV plugin-tester and got this result:

C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV>java -cp .;Sage.jar PluginTester
Hello. Starting PluginTester.

Getting providers...

Got provider ID=867507149; XMLTV Lineup

Updating Guide,..

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "Bloomberg"
at org.apache.xerces.framework.XMLParser.parse(XMLParser.java:1111)
at xmltv.XMLTVImportPlugin.updateGuide(XMLTVImportPlugin.java:70)
at PluginTester.main(PluginTester.java:43)
Test complete, result was 'false'.

Not quite sure what's going on now. It's saying there is a fault with the downloaded data? Why is the tv_sort function not in the Win32 zip binary release?

I've updated xmltv.exe with the latest patched version and this also hasn't helped. I don't have to run the full package do I with ActivePerl and everything else installed?

Any XMLTV gurus have any thoughts on this one? Thanks in advance.

I found with UK data you need to use the older plugin that is floating around. This is the one avaiable form the sage support page, and is called plugin.zip, not xmltv.zip. I don't know why this is, but with the lates xmtv grabber and the latest plugin, on UK data ONLY, it hangs on the connecting to server page. With the earlier plugin, things are just fine.

Thanks msm, that's cured it.
I can have a play around with it now.
