Moving client licenses around

I've been evaluating Sage for a couple of weeks, and really like it. I just now ordered the server and client licenses.

I've read the FAQs, and searched the forums, and my conclusion is, I'm ok to install the client today on a test laptop, then later install the client on a new PC I'm building, as long as I 'move' the license from the test laptop to the new computer. I read in the FAQ that I can use the 'register' command:

Quote:
Q: Is there a way to re-enter a license on a computer, or to remove one that was already entered?

A: Yes; use the REGISTER command line parameter.

After using this parameter, you can either enter a new license to set the one for that computer, or you can leave it blank to remove the license so that it can be used on a different PC. After changing any license keys for any Clients, restart the server so that it will refresh which licenses it will allow to connect.
So I should be ok, right? Also - as long as I use the 'register' command, and reboot the server, I can also move the license back to the test laptop and use it there. This is all perfectly legal because I'm not running the software on two machines at the same time, right?

I've seen all the posts discussing 'concurrent' licensing, and I have to agree - licensing could be based on concurrent use rather than the current model, but ... I guess I don't care.

Yes, you will be OK. You don't have to reboot the server, just stop SageTV and the SageTV service on the server (if you are using service mode), then start it back up.
