MP4 Playback in SageTV?

So, I've grabbed a couple of MP4 sample files (encoded with H.264 or x.264, not sure which). I added .mp4 to the "seeker/video_library_import_filename_extensions" list.

When I select the file in SageTV, it doesn't play, just flashes over like it's going to play, but drops back into the menu. The file plays fine in Windows Media Player and with Nero Showtime, just not in SageTV.

Any ideas what I can try?

I use the GermSage addon which allows me to tell Sage what media player to use.

I may have to look into that. Between the problems with MP4 playback and the TS files generated from my firewire recordings that don't have sound in Sage (though they do in other players), this is getting a bit frustrating...
