Howto send "keys" from Girder?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to use Girder to send "keys" to SageTV4 without much success.

I can send "sendmessage" commands to control most everything right now and that is working just fine.

When I get to the "search" screen, I am trying to pipe in some keys to generate remotely a word of some kind to search on. For example I like to pipe "Star" to get something like Star Trek.

I can pipe these keys easily into wordpad. I go into Girder click on the keyboard tab, target the wordpad windows and enter the letter "s" in the sentence to send. I then click on F5 to test the command and automagically an "s" appears in the wordpad windows.

When I try to do the same thing with SageTV (by the way it's the SageTV client that I am using here) it will never display the letter "s" in the search window.
I tried targetting the different "windows" to no avail. I got it working "once" where all the processes were targetted and it sent somthing like 6 letter "s" to the window. This happened once, I was never able to reproduce it again.

Any ideas?

Which version of Girder?

Did you try setting the window picker in Girder to Send to foreground?

Also - if using G4 - did you select force keys.

Try these and post back results.
