"Stable" SageTV Beta

Hello All,

I'm sitting at the 4.1.3 versions of Sage TV and Sage Client. The server is doing SD and HD (via firewire) recordings. My biggest problem is with Sage client intermittently freezing during playback of an HD stream. (The client doing playback is a 3Ghz Dell laptop, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.) I've found that most of the time, I can recover from a "freeze" by hitting FF, and then REW to get back to the spot where it "froze".

I know that this issue may have been addressed by fixes in the newer beta versions. Can anyone recommend a level of beta that they've found stable? I don't care (so far) about Placeshifting, just recording and playback on my LAN.

Thanks!

I was have some various MVP and client issues but zero problems (except for a placeshifter freeze) after I upgraded to .9, I upgraded to .10 after it came out and no problems.

Upgrade to the latest version of SageGraphRecorder to solve the HD streaming stutter problem when using the client.

cohnhead,
Thanks for the tip!

Wakecrash,
Appreciate the info. As soon as I have some playtime, I'll upgrade to at least .9 and see how it goes.

The Betas are very stable. Some features aren't fully implemented yet and Frey is still fiddling with the interface, but that's about it.

I have that freezing issue with all versions. It happens after a long period of use. Sometimes, changing the channel unlocks it, sometime, restarting the client helps. Anyway, the show is beeing recorded as I use SageTV as a service.
I have activated the debugging so next time it happens, I send the logfile.
